Volkswagen Vento review

With launch of popular sedan car model Volkswagen Vento, India's leading car maker company Volkswagen India which is 100 per cent subsidiary of Europe's largest auto maker Volkswagen, has forayed in to the Indian entry level sedan car market. Right now Volkswagen Vento is managing good position among India available popular sedan car models due to its excellent performance, impressive price and fuel efficiency and eye-catchy body design. The perfect German machine has been most popular in Indian domestic market and achieving good response from Indian customers. The overwhelmed company has recently launched Volkswagen Vento Breeze that carries more features than current earlier launched model.

The all new Volkswagen Vento is specially manufactured for Indian auto market. It is available in both the petrol and diesel models. Volkswagen Vento price is competitive in the segment. The base variant for petrol model is available at Rs. 7.02 lakh ex-showroom Delhi while top-end model has price tag of Rs. 9.26 lakh. Beside this, the base variant of diesel model has price tag of Rs. 8.03 lakh and high-end variant carries a price tag of Rs. 9.28 lakh at ex-showroom Delhi. Volkswagen Vento's petrol and diesel models are equipped with the same 1.6L engine. The 1.6L DOHC petrol engine generates maximum power of 105 PS at 5250 rpm and peak torque of 153 Nm at 3800 rpm. It is available in two variants like Trendline and Hinghline while an Automatic Transmission version is also available in Highline variant. The diesel engine of the popular Volkswagen sedan belts out massive power of 105 PS at 4400 rpm and top torque of 250 Nm at 1500-2500 rpm. It comes mated with a 5 speed manual transmission. The new Volkswagen Vento mileage for petrol model is 11.5 kmpl in city and 15.8 kmpl on highways. Meanwhile, diesel model of the sedan is more fuel efficient than petrol and delivers impressive fuel economy of 15.5 kmpl in mass areas and 20.5 kmpl on long roads.

Now Volkswagen India seeks to launch its a newly developed small car model Volkswagen Up in India very soon. The company will display this popular small car model at the 2012 New Delhi Auto Expo in January. Beside this, Volkswagen Golf is in pipe line.
