The business activities of Renault Motors are seemed to set on aggression now days. It has decided to pursue the progress by Renault Duster in 2012. Recently, the launch of its mini MPV Renault Modus get acknowledge by company’s officials. It’ll be launched in the approaching month of October of this year and get opened for the challenges against well-established competitors like Chevrolet Captiva, Ford Endeavour, Toyota Fortuner, Maruti Grande Vitara and New Tata Aria.
Last year, the dissolution of joint-venture between Renault Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra has been done. Thereafter, within short period of time it has achieved good approach to customers’ desires by the means of its sedan and SUV versions – Renault Fluence and Koleos. There was only three months of gap between their launch that’s really remarkable and now almost after 2 months Modus will get launched and then Renault Duster.
So, we can say that the experts have planned very well the business expansion of Renault in India. The upcoming Duster will be marked its presence as low priced SUV that will be based on the platform of Logan. As per expectations of makers, it’ll give an aggression to Renault’s run into this segment. They are also making their level best efforts for the localization of Duster before its launch so that they can have reasonable deal to Indian customers. It’ll be manufactured in company’s Chennai production plant which has capacity to hold enough manufacturing of it.
The Duster Prices are not yet confirmed but as per inklings, it’s been expecting that it’ll hover around the tag of Rs. 8, 00,000. But the competition in this segment is really very tough as it’s been overshadowing by the active performances of hard beaten competitors like Mahindra Scorpio and Xylo, Chevrolet Tavera, Tata Safari, and Toyota Innova. All of them are carrying tough challenges against each other which are growing tougher with the passage of time.
So, to hold the challenges against them Renault’s experts have worked restlessly over the mechanism of Renault Duster Engine. Now it has got very much clear that it’ll mark its presence as SUV. So, industry’s experts are hoping 1.5 liter dCi diesel packaging for its engine as it’s good for the peak power of 105 BHP and 240 NM of torque. And it’s expected to accelerate to 100 km/h in 11.8 seconds and it’ll actively be backed by 5-Speed Manual Transmission System.
